Hello Fellow Primals!

T the season and all that!

Much news including a much needed showcase in New York on November 17, 7pm at The Delancey in which we invite our mob of fans In that great City to the gathering!

It has come to our attention that many of you are truly looking forward to new material, someone mentioned Psychedelic Blues, when in fact we have explored that facet of blues many times, however the truth to Primal Static is to continue to expand for our meaning of “Static” stems from electricity not from anything standing still. Which brings us to the meaning of our name, which a few have asked. Well the Primal part is actually attached to the Static aspect for deep within us is this antennae which reaches out to the Universe (=One Song-One Verse) and even though “society” in its most drab state would like to prune this off, but alas to us Primals it hasn’t. This need for oneness, this electricity to attach ourselves to the Primal that is always awakened when we sleep. There is also the power of 2 in this band Primal to Static, Man to Woman, Earth to Sky, yet within all this is the Primal Blues awakened in the 21st century churned out with electronic beats, for that is the beat of the day, computer et a. Within this machine is a scream, an urge to go back yet forward within the realms of consciousness and which a wise man once said “Where there is love, there is no need for power.” So with that statement we open the wings to this newness and ask you to come along.

Soon to see you… New York, London, where ever we are needed we shall be.

Rising Of The Curtain

We all dream as dreamers do. The web of life appears so taut right now with derision around the world but all is not left to chaos. Form comes from chaos and out of it springs life. This time round perhaps we will all get it right.

We want to thank all of you who have helped us achieve this music in all its splendor, whether directly or indirectly. We are unraveling our skin as it were, as the moon does each month. To those who understand the ever evolving door of Primal Static and what is actually meant by those words and name. To those that try to listen to it all and to never brand us as this or that. To those of you, who actually buy our material instead of just saying it, thanks.

We believe this music will last way beyond our time on this earth, so that is really everything. To put out something one believes in and see it treated well is all that an artist can really ask. We have been at this for quite a while and it seems we have a strong fan base which makes it all worth while. For us it’s the message in the music. One wonders “Are these lyrics listened to?” “Are we getting through, or are we miles away?” This music is meant to uplift. We hardly ever hear that these days. It’s either a whiny singer feeling sorry for their selves or just boring music. So instead of feeling horrible we give a change to the “scene” by offering up something we feel is really extraordinary. We are lifelong dedicated musicians. Nothing we receive and play is accidental, we play from the heart and hopefully it touches a nerve; man we just give it to you all or none, that’s what you want right? Music needs to be spun from the soul. We hear you in your emails and comments and your discontent with music these days. We promise the soul of blues is pumping in our music as it will forever because it is the people’s music and shall last forever. Our concern is to spread the message of truth through music played from the heart and soul, not some dismal crass commercialized garbage. This is a train, as in A Little Pain, that won’t and can’t stop. Our number one priority is to play for you live now, so we can communicate with you and feel the electricity going both ways. A vital audience gives breath to the music and you are vital to us! As we travel we hope to meet everyone of you, so make yourselves known to us.

So here we are with the new Primal Static site, celebrating the release of the new album “The Curtain of Many Faces” as well as two exclusive -In The Studio- Videos. Most importantly we are celebrating our fans; because they have the power more than ever to change music forever. This site will be here to engage both you and us and intertwine the fan/artist relationship. That is what music is about anyway COMMUNICATION! This is a time of great excitement, great music and great times to be shared. The stories told in our songs will also be told in pictures, words etc…from fans around the world. Thanks and WELCOME!

To ONE and ALL

Hello all! After reaching #18 with our last album “Rising In The Bud” tied with Kings of Leon, ( we were the only unsigned band ) Now in 2010 we just released our new album “The Curtain of Many Faces”.  This is sure to excite many, who have asked for more music. Also as far as shows go, talk to your radio stations and such and they will book us. We try to fill most requests. Thanks for all the great messages and such, cause it really shows that people need this soulful music that righteously rocks to its roots, instead of the dross shit that is rammed down every ones throat. Thanks for keeping true music alive!
